I have decided to invite my and my hus’s parents to attend my commencement ceremony in May. They, except for my father, never traveled abroad in their lives! My father did once, but I’m pretty sure he has almost no idea of foreign travel because his trip was a group one. He didn’t make any plans, just followed a guide in the group.
I wrote “I invite them,” but I won’t pay for the expenses. They will. It’s good time to travel abroad because of strong Japanese yen, which would last for a while.
I’m looking forward to seeing how they will react finding so many differences between the Japanese and American societies.
